CPHI Webinar Series
Optimal Capsule Selection for your Pharma and Nutra Products
What will this webinar address?
The pharmaceutical industry is currently adapting different dosage forms, of which solid oral dosage (tablets, capsules, powders etc), is one of the most popular.
Capsules in particular are gaining interest amongst formulators for the many advantages in administering both pharmaceutical and nutraceutical products. Market research reveals the global empty capsule market is estimated to be worth USD 3.7 billion by 2026, up from USD 2.6 billion in 2021.
Growth drivers in the capsule market are in part due to the plethora of options available; diverse materials, different sizes, colours and complex printing options through which companies can differentiate their products. Capsules also offer ease of encapsulation, quicker development of new products and more possibilities of product identification.
For formulators, correct capsule selection is a crucial element of product development due to increased drug complexity and subsequent stability challenges. This webinar will explore the many benefits capsules offer to formulators and will share key considerations for optimal capsule selection.
Join us to learn:
- Current formulation trends, what are the major challenges confronting formulators at present?
- What benefits capsules offer for overcoming these challenges, compared with other dosage forms?
- Assessing the current selection criteria for the capsule shell and how to choose the right option for your product.
